April 7 is World Health Day. This year’s focus, designated by the World Health Organization (WHO), is depression. World Health Day is part of a larger campaign with the goal of raising awareness and getting help for those suffering from depression. As the leading cause of ill health and disability worldwide, depression can affect anyone, regardless of age, gender, health, or socioeconomic status.

#FactualFriday: Many of Virginia’s community health centers offer behavioral health services that assist and treat patients with depression or other mood disorders. In 2015, there were 72,662 patient visits to #VirginiaCHCs for the treatment of depression and related disorders.
