Celebrate National Health Center Week!

As part of National Health Center Week (NHCW), Virginia’s health centers are hosting events across the Commonwealth — including health fairs, back-to-school celebrations, fun runs, groundbreakings, and picnics. The statewide celebration, officially proclaimed by Governor Ralph S. Northam, runs August 12–18 with the goal of raising awareness about the mission and accomplishments of Virginia’s health center organizations which operate over 150 service sites across the Commonwealth serving over 300,000 patients.

Virginia’s Health Centers are part of a nationwide network that serves more than 28 million Americans, a number that continues to grow along with the demand for affordable primary care. Because of their long record of success in innovation, managing health care costs, and reducing chronic disease, health centers have a proud tradition of bipartisan support in Congress.
