HENRICO, Virginia: Virginia Community Healthcare Association (VCHA) announced today that they have partnered with McGuireWoods Consulting, LLC (MWC) to develop a state government relations plan for the 2022 legislative session.
“As the new administration takes office in January, it’s important that our membership gets to know the key players in the new Governor’s cabinet and other state agency officials,” said Tracy Douglas-Wheeler, VCHA Chief Executive Officer. “Through our collaboration with McGuireWoods, we’ll be able to connect our Association to key policy makers to educate them about our member priorities.”
“McGuireWoods Consulting is pleased to work alongside VCHA this coming legislative session,” said Tray Adams, Director of McGuireWoods Consulting’s Virginia government relations team. “Never before has advocacy on policy issues impacting our state’s community health centers and the clients they serve been more important.”
Last month, VCHA launched its new purpose and promise to its members: Advocate, Educate and Elevate. Helping members understand the policy issues that affect their health centers and those they serve is a substantial part of that promise. The organization is committed to strengthening its advocacy function, thus the engagement with McGuireWoods. “The team at McGuireWoods comprises bona-fide experts in the field,” adds Douglas-Wheeler. “They will add tremendous value to our association, and by extension, our members.”
