Henrico, VA…Clark Thomas, EdD, has joined the Virginia Community Healthcare Association (VaCHA) as Chief Program Officer. In his role, Dr. Thomas will oversee management of the 330 and HCCN grants, enhance opportunities for member engagement, and expand community health outreach efforts across the commonwealth involving members as well as collaborative partners.
Prior to joining VaCHA, Dr. Thomas was a successful consultant who provided project-based and ongoing counsel to associations, charities, and other nonprofit organizations. Engagements included strategic planning, needs assessments, program analysis and fundraising feasibility studies. Thomas also provided customized consulting and management services and developed or enhanced membership, education, sponsorship, meeting and exhibits programming. He specialized in startup organizational development and growth strategies for existing organizations.

Dr. Thomas holds a master of public administration degree in nonprofit management from Georgia State University, and a doctorate of education in community care and counseling specializing in traumatology from Liberty University. He has been a Certified Association Executive from the American Society of Association Executives since 2006.
